What is this project all about?
The aim would be to have at least 5 successfully run sustainable companies come out of each of these projects, therefore employing more people permanently in the business and some on a casual basis so that they can uplift their communities.
1. BHIZANA COMMUNITY - EASTERN CAPE, SOUTH AFRICA
2. MAPHUMULO COMMUNITY - KWAZULU NATAL, SOUTH AFRICA
These are poverty stricken rural areas with no prospects of
employment. The best way to alleviate poverty and reduce
unemployment would be to be an entrepreneur and create employment
for community members. Though community members are keen, they do
not have access to money to acquire the required skills.
Both Kwazulu Natal and the Eastern cape have the highest population rate in South African and are mostly rural. This makes it difficult for these communities to get out of the cycle of Poverty due to a lack of skills development centers.
Candidate selection will be made with the help of local community leaders, based on a strict criteria and interview process to ensure that we are training committed and passionate individuals.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
Covered by the Training would be the following:
Branding and Marketing
Customer relationship management
Food Service and Presentation
Interpersonal Human Relations
This would be a 12 months training programme in two different
communities consisting of practicals. Participants can not miss any
of the training sessions and will be encouraged to register their
own businesses and start operating whilst in the programme with the
help of their mentor.
Participants will be encouraged to register their businesses in groups in order to support one another.
During training there will be continuous assessment of the candidates.

Who are the people behind the project?
Project development, realization and supervision is provided by Mr Michael Müller, owner of a socially engaged consulting enterprise which is based in Zurich, Switzerland. Training will be done by Ms Zanele Khanyile who has a lecturing background and also a qualified Chef, Zanele has lectured on Business management and entrepreneurship at a Tertiary Education level. She is a qualified Chef who has worked for several catering companies one being the no 1catering company in SA, she started and ran a successful catering company called ‘Aubergine Fine Food Chefs’, she has been involved in Food and Beverages for major events such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup. and has been keen on transferring these skills to the less fortunate. Zanele is in touch and knows about the concrete problems in these communities.
