Project
What is this project all about?
Creatives and students from around the world travel to HfG Offenbach to participate in the After School Club. The event takes place in the lecture-free period of the University and includes five or six workshops and a conference day. The aim is practical debate of societally relevant themes and the development of new ideas and forms of artistic expression.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The audience includes international students from courses including art, graphic design, audiovisual media and product design, as well as students at the HfG Offenbach. The participants will be guided by creatives and artists of note from around the world. ASC is open to the community: those interested may visit the final presentations and conference. In addition, interventions are planned for public spaces.
Why would you support this project?
Those who sponsor the After School Club support young people from around the world in a unique learning experience - dependent upon their talent rather than their financial means. Above all this, ASC seeks to encourage young creatives to come together and form social connections across the divides of location and discipline.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
The funding through kulturMut will supplement the University’s means and participant fees. It will be invested in materials, teaching staff, travel and hotel costs, provision for the speakers and conference equipment.
Who are the people behind the project?
HfG Offenbach and Professor Eike König (professor for graphic design and illustration) stand behind this project, along with a group of students at the HfG who manage the content and organization.
