50% of all food in Germany is wasted, global food waste is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gases. Every year, a total of 2.5 billion tons of food are wasted worldwide, this amount would be enough to feed all 900 million people suffering from hunger three times over. The German government has set a target to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030, we want to achieve this by abolishing VAT.
