Concentrating on the geographical, political and social aspects of 'isolation', MEETROPA e.V. will organize it’s first, diverse event at the Senatsreservenspeicher in Berlin-Kreuzberg. On the 7th and 8th July, 25 hours long, an art exhibition, live-painting action, experimental music performances, film screenings, panels and discussions will offer multiple impressions on the topic focusing on East-Central Europe. The attendance of the Hungarian, Slovakian, Czech, Romanian and Bulgarian participants, music and cooking in the garden will complete the cultural exchange.
The main focus of MEETROPA e.V. is to foster personal encounters, cultural gatherings and exchanges, as well as to build a platform for issues from East-Central-Europe in Berlin.
The event ISOLAT!ON, the art exhibition, the film program and the discussions with the participants from Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria und Romania will offer multiple ways to get involved in topics and cultural developments in East-Central-Europe. The 25-hours-event is equally designed for everyone, who simply wants to enjoy music and food together, and is open for new sounds, artworks and tastes.
You should support our project for it's unique engagement in building new contacts and bridges between cultural fields and geographical regions. The event ISOLAT!ON is the opportunity for MEETROPA e.V. to start it’s activities and to establish a platform for initiatives from East-Central-Europe in Berlin. The financial support will be fully used for the realization of the event and is urgently needed, to guarantee the participation of the artists from different countries and to cover the most important and essential costs.
You would not only support an upcoming event, but a long-term initiative.
Your support at Startnext shall serve to increase cultural exchange and to facilitate personal encounters. Funding will be used entirely for the upcoming project “ISOLAT!ON”. The travel costs for the participants as well as the realization of the site-specific art works depend on it. Every cent is desperately needed and will affect the variety of programs and installations. To visit the exhibition and to participate in the programs will be free of charge, which underlines the non-profit structure of our project, which relies on your help.
The project was initiated by an international group of people with different disciplinary backgrounds and interests, who gathered in Berlin with a common purpose: to build contacts between different countries and cultural spheres. The result, the organization MEETROPA e.V. should provide a platform for various ideas and cooperations, by concentrating on East-Central Europe. ISOLAT!ON is the start-up of this long-term prospective. All participants work voluntarily and tirelessly to realize the project and hope for your help to succeed.
