Hi, I’m Friederike and, as Team & Product Lead for the platform development team, I’m responsible for ensuring that we create new value and build a stable and sustainable platform. I rely on an agile mindset and a pragmatic way of working.
Our platform team currently consists of two frontend developers, two backend developers, an external DevOps engineer.

We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Software Engineer to join the Startnext platform development team in Dresden. You are excited to further develop a well-established crowdfunding platform and create real social impact with your code.
We are currently not considering applications submitted via recruitment or headhunting agencies.
Develop and maintain frontend and backend components of our crowdfunding platform and actively shape their architecture.
Plan and implement technical concepts in close collaboration with your team.
Use LLMs and other AI tools as a natural part of your workflow to write, review, and test code.
Ensure quality with regard to browser and device compatibility, accessibility, and SEO.
Help define and evaluate our frontend and backend technology portfolio.
Document your work and implement test scenarios (test management).
Collaborate with our external SRE, for example on monitoring, roll-outs, and incident analysis.
Frontend: Vue.js, (React), Less, Smarty, Bootstrap
Backend: PHP, Symfony, MariaDB/AuroraDB, Docker
Version control: GitLab / GitHub
Servers: NGINX, Debian
Cloud: AWS, Kubernetes
Monitoring: Cloudflare, Google Analytics, AWS
At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
Solid knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue.js or React.
Experience in backend development with PHP and frameworks such as Symfony.
Confident handling of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in data modelling with relational databases (e.g. MariaDB).
Deep hands-on experience with LLMs and AI tools, and you use them confidently to write, review, and test code.
Ideally, experience with accessibility and SEO.
You enjoy working with an existing system, reducing technical debt, and creating sustainable code structures.
You like working in a team and take responsibility for yourself and your work.
Good German skills (at least B1 level) or native speaker. Our team communication is in German.
Good or very good English skills. We document our software in English.
Experience with Notion as a central operating system (BOS) for teams, or strong willingness to learn it quickly.

Contract type: Full-time, around 40 hours/week, permanent contract
Location: Our office is in Dresden; a hybrid model is possible by agreement.
Salary: 50,000–75,000 EUR gross per year (full-time, depending on qualification and experience)
