3h Workshop - Parametric Design, Lasercutting Lampshade

Learn it. Make it. Alt Makers: your space to build, create and invent.

150.00 €

incl. VAT & shipping

With our Parametric Design Lasercutting workshop you will be able to quickly create a lampshade that is unique and one of a kind by simply adjusting a few parameters in our template design. We will then go on to show you the power of Parametric Design and how you can use it in your own design to be able to make quick adjustments when things change or how to make infinitely new shapes based on how parameters interact with one another.

We will then show you how to prepare your file to be Lasercut out of Birch Plywood and how to assemble the final product

At the end of the workshop each unique lampshade will be sent to our lasercutters to be cut from plywood. Please note that lasercuts of this size take around an hour to cut so the actual lampshade will not be available to be picked up until the following day.

You will also leave with a copy of our parametric design file that you can then use to generate more unique designs on your own and the knowledge to begin making your own parametric designs.

5 participants/workshop.

The workshops are currently planned for the last 3 weeks of March. We will keep you updated with the possible dates when we are closer to opening. There will be at least 3 possible dates for you to attend. If, when we announce the dates, none of them are possible for you to attend we will arrange a date with you, as one of our initial supports, to carry out the workshop so that we can guarantee you will be able to receive your reward for funding our project.

* All of our supporters will be commemorated in an engraved plaque at the space. We appreciate the community and want to share everyone, who it was who will have helped create this space. Every little bit helps.
