Canta Nova Saar and John Sheppard Ensemble record a CD of Daniel Roth's choral works with Daniel Roth himself playing "his" organ at St. Sulpice
Financing of the CD production and support for travel expenses
During one week in April 2019 a CD shall be recorded at St. Sulpice in Paris, France. The choirs from Germany will join master organist Daniel Roth and record with him rare musical works by composers like Schmitt, Lefébure-Wély, Fauré (who was choir-organist), Widor, Dupré and Roth, who served as "organistes titulaires". Some of the works have not been recorded before, most of the works are rarely performed because of the enormous demands on the singers and the instruments.
We want to create a sounding document of the unique tradition of choral and organ music at St. Sulpice. A CD that will interest both lovers of organ music and of choral music.
By supporting this project, you can contribute to preserve the memory of a unique musical monument, the historic organ at St. Sulpice and its tradition.
Your financial support is essential for the realization of the CD recording and to help the choristers also in consideration of the travel expenses.
