What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The aim of this project is to publish a beautiful collection of photographs portraying Black German women and Black women who live - or have lived - in Germany. Twelve women altogether are presented.

Why would you support this project?
This project will provide countless Black girls and young women with positive role models. It will inspire other Black women to continue to connect with each other. Finally, it will honour one special Black German woman who has passed away: Juliane Wonja Michael.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
"Daima" is due to be published later this year in October 2013. We need a minimum of 800 € to cover the costs of copy editing & proofreading, layout and design. The book will also be launched in October in Frankfurt (during the book fair). We will produce an exhibition and publicity materials, which will cost at least 400 €.
In the event that more than 1200 € is raised here, the excess funds will go towards the funding the exhibition which is planned in… Show more
