Der Film „Eigengrau“ begleitet den 11-jährigen Jungen Leo in den letzten Tagen seines Lebens, bevor er sich für den Freitod entscheidet. In dieser Zeit lebt er mehr und mehr in einer Fantasiewelt und gerät in einen Konflikt mit der Gesellschaft und der Welt die ihn umgibt.
