Technologically mature cord switch that can be switched by hand and reliably by spoken commands without a network connection. The speech commands can be selected by the users themselves. The programming is carried out within a few seconds. The technology has been developed by ourselves.
The AURINOVO has developed a cord switch that can be switched with speech commands. The command word is freely programmable and can be entered directly at the switch in seconds.
The special feature of the switch is that no Internet connection is required. This is a decisive advantage, because there is therefore no way for hackers to access the devices. Regular security updates are not necessary. This guarantees long-term stability and sustainability. With typical IT devices, support usually ends after a few years or a network standard changes, which quickly renders the devices unusable even though the electronics are still functioning perfectly. Furthermore, due to the missing network connection, there is no way to listen to your conversations and to sell this data.
The product development has been completed. The production is supposed to start now and for this we ask for your support.

What is the project goal and who is the project for?
Our product is designed for users who want to switch small household appliances (e.g. lights) with their spoken commands and who value simplicity, quickness, robustness and the protection of their privacy.
Why would you support this project?
The speech recognition systems of the well-known virtual assistants of Internet companies analyse the content of the speech input. This requires very powerful hardware and an Internet connection to the manufacturer so that the users' speech inputs can be transmitted to the operators and analysed and evaluated by them.
Speech recognition that comprehends the content of what is being said is simply a necessity for some applications. However, this form of artificial intelligence also has obvious disadvantages, such as high energy consumption and loss of privacy. Furthermore, devices connected to the Internet must be permanently supplied with security updates. If this support ends, the device becomes a major security risk and a gate for hackers. Furthermore, IT equipment quickly becomes outdated as technical standards are constantly evolving. Outdated equipment must be discarded, even though the hardware usually still works perfectly. This is not only annoying, but also a considerable burden for the environment.
For simple applications, it is therefore quite attractive to use a simpler sound recognition system such as ours instead of a real speech recognition. This can be compared in its functionality to speech recognition of a trained dog, which does not understand what is being said, but still knows that it should react to a certain command with a certain action.
To put it briefly, whoever supports this project helps to establish products on the market that are designed for customer benefit.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
If the funding is successful, the money will be used exclusively for the production of the cord switch. We commission experienced manufacturers to produce the components according to the specifications of the prototypes. Furthermore we take care of registration, packaging and documentation.
Who are the people behind the project?
Behind the project stand the founders of the AURINOVO GmbH. On the one hand, these are us, Anja and Steffen Kühn and our two partners Volker Korrmann and Thomas Bechtold.
In cooperation with experienced manufacturers from our network we can successfully realize this project. Here we can rely on our many years of experience from projects such as the speech-controlled light switch SLS6. Since December 2017 this has been manufactured in licence by the GB Gebro GmbH.
