We are LANAYA from Burkina Faso (West Africa). In our sound you will find our culture, our passion and our heart – You could say it’s a piece of our heritage. We are modernizing and enriching our music with Manding culture elements, so we have created a new genre of music over the course of time. LANAYA means "Trust" and we place our trust in you, because we need your support to share the best of the many pieces we have composed over the past years with the world and first of all with you!

What is this project all about?
In our debut album "Lombalia" musical instruments come together, that would usually not play together. The entire repertoire is a mixture of modern style elements, groovy melodies and rhythmic improvisations. The CD includes 10 Manding songs and a German rap song composed by the band leader.
Our lyrics are about the international understanding, peace, the heritage of our ancestors and the love, that throws a new light on ancient nationalities.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
Our goal is to bring you closer to our culture, the musicians of the Manding people and the sound associated with it.
We want to charm, enrich and excite you.
We want you to listen to LANAYA not only at concerts, but at home, on the way to work, traveling or at home...
By reaching the funding goal, we can record and publish a professional debut album.
We aim to present our sound to a wider audience live on the stage.
This costs a lot of money and requires diligence. All our power flows into this project.
Our music is for all those who like to dance! For all those who are open to new things, letting new sounds, rhythms and melodies into their hearts. All around, for all who love music.

Who are the people behind the project?
Abdoul Aziz Sinka: band leader & culture manager. He and his brother Ibrahim have brought LANAYA to life in 2002. (Doundoun, Djembe, Vocal)
Mama Sanou: singer and dancer at LANAYA since 2012. With her strong voice she underscores our sound.
Ibrahim Sinka: co-founder of LANAYA. (Djembe, Bara (Calabash) Vocal, Tan)
Gofefo Konate: Balafon Virtuoso: He has been playing the music instrument since he was 8 years old, and that's how he feels.
