Monster Slayer is an 3D side scroll - action adventure game in which you can be a hero in single player or co-op mode and free the kingdom of Aan from the dark forces of the Black Stone. Between a multitude of levels in which you fight countless enemies, collecting materials and gold for crafting weapons and abilities and tough boss battles in the style of Dark Souls, there are still countless mechanics, puzzles and challenges that make Monster Slayer without doubt a unique gaming experience.
1. Battle system : In Monster Slayer there are different ways to defeat your opponents. Standard opponents can usually be fended off with simple physical or magical attacks. Harder opponents or bosses usually require holy weapons or ancient artifacts. 2. A journey : Monster Slayer tells its story through the player's own journey. Through forests and temples, from the highest pinnacle of a castle to the fiery depths of a volcano. It is up to the player to discover the secrets of Aan. 3. Crafting System : We have long considered whether to install a crafting system. We have come to the conclusion to install a crafting system for weapons. With this crafting system you should be able to do the crafting process with the help of mini-games and the necessary resources. 4. Skilltree: We use the well-known system of skill trees, which mainly allows you to change basic attributes such as life and attack speed.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
With Monster Slayer we want to create a fantastic story with outstanding gameplay elements. The target group is you, the players, the explorers, those who marvel at our world.
Why would you support this project?
Let's face it, it will only be possible to realize the project if the goal of the campaign is achieved. We have to cover the costs for employees, software licenses, hardware and mundane things like rent and electricity. We are sure that crowdfunding is therefore the best funding method. We receive feedback from the community about which elements are desirable and which are not. It also makes us independent of private investors or banks and gives us the opportunity to act creatively, without any restrictions.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
The money goes into the costs for programmers, graphic designers and all other pending costs that are necessary for the realization of the project.
Who are the people behind the project?
Michael Lutz: Programmer and graphic artist "In the beginning I wanted to develop Monster Slayer on my own as the project got bigger and bigger, I added friends, family and freelancers to the team."
Sophia Lutz: Scenarist and storytelling "In addition to studying philosophy, I also help my brother to develop Monster Slayer. I mainly work on the storyboard and also take care of the French version of the game"
Edith Weickum: KiwiArts financial planner
Marc Davis: Musician and sound designer "I've always been a fan of the retro nostalgia soundtracks of my childhood. The catchy tunes and melodies that were produced on hardware with limited space that still get my attention every time. To show respect to those old school soundtracks I've done my research and created the 8-Bit sound myself. I definitely wanted to recreate those upbeat, positive and catchy vibes of that era. The driving percussion and bass elements are a must to convey that feeling. I wanted to create a sound that will be stuck in your head for days, just like the old school soundtracks of my childhood."
