Gerrit is a Senior Researcher and Project Manager at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights. She has a law degree with a focus on international human rights and previously worked in Afghanistan, India, the Philippines and Syria. Her work at BIM focuses on torture prevention, criminal law and human rights, as well as rule of law issues. She also works as a pro-bono probation officer and human rights trainer for school kids in Vienna.
