Moritz is Head of the Department ‘Human Dignity and Public Security’ of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights. He joined the BIM in 2009 as Assistant to the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture and previous to that, worked with human rights organisations in Ghana, Mexico, Senegal, Sweden and the UNHCR in Germany. He studied law in Berlin and Paris, holds an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from Lund University and is certified systemic organization consultant.
