Radbahn geht voran - Radbahn moves on
Liebe Startnext-Gemeinschaft,
Wir haben lange nichts von uns hören lassen, doch das bedeutet nicht, dass es mit der Radbahn nicht vorangegangen ist – genau das Gegenteil ist nämlich der Fall.
Im Hintergrund waren wir vielleicht sogar so aktiv wie nie zuvor: Etliche Gespräche mit den Berliner Senatsverwaltungen und – vielleicht am wichtigsten – mit Politiker*innen aller relevanten demokratischen Parteien. Dabei haben wir immer unser Buch ausgehändigt, das ihr finanziert habt, liebe Crowdfunding-Unterstützer.
Dabei bringt unsere Arbeit belastbare Ergebnisse: Wir möchten Euch mit Stolz mitteilen, dass die Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Umwelt, Verkehr und Klimaschutz offiziell eine Machbarkeitsstudie über einen Teilabschnitt der Radbahn beauftragen wird. Dies ist der erste wichtige Schritt auf dem Weg zur möglichen Realisierung der Radbahn und der Höhepunkt unserer bisherigen Arbeit. Wie Ihr Euch sicher vorstellen könnt, sind wir mächtig aufgeregt und sehr dankbar, dass Ihr das möglich gemacht habt. Besonderen Dank an diejenigen, die ein zusätzliches Radbahn-Buch genau für diesen Zweck gespendet haben.

Dear Startnext-community,
Long silence from our side does not mean there is no progress with Radbahn and the truth is in fact precisely the opposite.
Behind the scenes we have been maybe more active than ever before: engaging with different departments of the Berlin Senate and maybe most importantly, meeting politicians from all respectable parties. In these meeting we have also handed over the books that were paid by you, our dear crowdfunding supporters.
This work - made possible by your support - is yielding solid results: we can now very proudly announce that the Senate of Berlin will conduct official feasibility study on a section of Radbahn. Feasibility study is the first official step in a path to an eventual realization of Radbahn and therefore it is paramount to the success of the whole project. This is gigantic news for us and for the project and we are very grateful for you all making this possible! We would like to extend our special, wholehearted thank you for those of you who bought Radbahn book and donated second one exactly for this purpose.
