Um der Household Air Pollution (HAP) und der Regenwaldabholzung entgegenzuwirken hat RecyCoal ein nachhaltiges Konzept entwickelt, indem Kohle aus kommunalen Abfällen hergestellt wird. So werden die bestehenden gesundheitlichen und ökologischen Probleme reduziert und den Betroffenen eine neue Chance auf ein besseres Leben gegeben.
