Crowdfunding finished
The Ent(e) is near: After two months of winter break and a cancelled opening party, Sisyphos is in danger. Our staff, our rent, and all that other stuff still have to be paid, but our income has gone down to zero. Or - as the orcale used to say - in German: Ist der Laden erstmal dicht, sind es all die Enten nicht.

Project description show hide

What is this project all about?

We want to keep Sisyphos alive as a venue or music and subculture , get through the shutdown with the entire team, and rave with you again!

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

Our goal is a Happy Ent. (Ente = German word for duck)

The project is for everyone who likes to dance and who respects other people.

Why would you support this project?

We have built up Sisyphos over the past 10 years with enthusiasm and a shared love for the rave. - With our own hands, without a business plan, starting from scratch, and supported by many many friends. We want rave culture without advertisements, VIP nonsense and PR crap. Money is only a means to an end. Our turnover has gone up, but so have our expenses. Now, our venue is shut down, but the expenses continue. After our two months winter break, during which we have built and invested a lot, the shutdown has hit us at the worst time imaginable. But we absolutely want to get through this crisis, keeping all of our 150 staff. --- And then we want to go bananas with you again!

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

The money will be used to cover our expenses during the time with no income. These include, but are not limited to: Rent, salaries, GEMA (music royalties), KSK (artist insurance), GEZ (public media), insurances, taxes, fees for power, water, heating, internet, telephones, garbage disposal, hardware and software leasing/subscriptions, vehicles, building maintenance, BGN (trade association), merchandise and open invoices for materials/work already delivered/completed during the winter break.

Who are the people behind the project?

The Sisyphos family is comprised of: 150 staff, about 23 kids, 1 dog, 6 cats, 1 pig, 8 chickens; 9086 plants; more than 1000 artists who perform here; some 75 partners and contractors who in many cases depend on our orders; and last but not least our fucking amazing guests who love go crazy together in love & peace!
