What is this project all about?

Sova Magazine puts forward an interdisciplinary approach on new and future tendencies in photography, art, and fashion. We respond to the rapidly changing visual aesthetics and processes of the international online scene, giving our favourite influential artistic positions space to unfold in our 140+page print magazine.

The Pre-order of Sova #7 ADULT has now started.

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

Sova Magazine is an independent European photography, fashion and art magazine representing emerging and established artists with an array of divisive, hedonistic and intimate points of view. Underlining contemporary discourse, every print issue is dedicated to the direct exploration of a focused topic, showcasing divergent narratives and their refractions. We want to give controversial and unusual positions more space within our society, by spreading the word through our internationally contributed, high quality print magazine.

Within this focused print experience, our readers catch things they may otherwise miss online.

Why would you support this project?

Sova is a reader-contributed, self-published magazine, with no financial support in the background yet has maintained steady and constant growth over the years. Supporting us via pre-order is one of the best ways to help us in our final stage of production.

Issue #7 ADULT aims to grasp the anxieties and delicate joys of the adulthood. What does it mean to be mature in our contemporary and self-absorbed world?

The Sova Magazine #7 ADULT Pre-Order allows us to deliver the printed magazine straight into the reader’s home.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

In late September, Sova will be launching its online magazine, concentrating on the immediate confrontation with matters of now. Sova Online will be a space for exploration, putting forward positions that have been neither told, nor optimised. We produce editorials, features, and interviews for our bi-annual print issues, our forthcoming online magazine and we are financed to pay all contributors, our editors, along with all printing and shipping.

Who are the people behind the project?

Sova Magazine was founded in 2010 by Martin Petersen in Malmö, Sweden and is currently based in Berlin. Sova Magazine #7 Adult has been assembled by diverse team, ten editors strong, working in the fields of creative and art direction, photography, fashion, art, music, styling and production.
