Der Kinodokumentarfilm Brückenjahre soll das Spannungsfeld Umsiedlung, Energie und Arbeit durch den Energieträger Braunkohle beleuchten. Es handelt sich dabei um die Fortsetzung des erfolgreichen Vorgängers "Heimat auf Zeit". Fünf Jahre zwischen Hoffen und Bangen, eine aufwühlende Gegenwart und eine unsichere Zukunft bilden das Gerüst für einen persönlichen, mutigen aber vor allem objektiven Film von einem polarisierenden Reizthema unserer gegenwärtigen Gesellschaft.
