Crowdfunding since 2010

The first sustainable and social mobility platform, right where people live!

With Carré Mobility, we want to provide demand-oriented mobility exactly where it is needed - namely infront of your own doorstep, not somewhere in the center of large cities. We define demand-oriented mobility in such a way that you can decide for yourself whether you (1) want to drive alone with a shared vehicle of your choice (car to bike) or (2) in a carpool or (3) not at all and instead prefer to use our "Bring-Along" service.
Funding period
2/4/20 - 4/30/20
Realisation
1. Station until Q2/2020
Website & Social Media
Minimum amount (Start level): 35,000 €

With this sum we can technically implement the core functions of the Carré mobility platform for iOS and Android and set up the first test stations.

What is this project all about?

A little bit to the background:
The basis for Carré comes from the personal experience of a person who lives in a multi-party house in a catchment area of a large city and has a passion for new mobility, namely me.

My name is Franziska Weiser and I am the founder of Carré Mobility. After my move to the catchment area I noticed the following challenges:

  • There is public transport, but not at suitable times, not to all destinations and not suitable for larger purchases.
  • Sharing offers are available, if only at the public transport stations or other points of interest.
  • Due to point 1 +2, many people still have a car, which is actually parked most of the time and is not economical in a cost-benefit calculation.
  • Often similar destinations (e.g. grocery store, hardware store, pharmacy etc.) are approached, but alone - which brings me to my last point.
  • I have the feeling that due to urbanization and digitalization we are increasingly losing the real sense of community, which is a particular challenge for the older generation.

Against this background, Carré Mobility was created at the beginning of 2019. With a digital mobility platform, we want to bring people back together in real life and thus make our mobility more efficient, sustainable and social.

But what exactly is Carré now?
Carré Mobility is a digital mobility platform specially designed for the needs of residential areas in (sub)urban spaces, which consists of the following components:

  • Demand-oriented sharing stations directly in the neighbourhood, which can provide almost everything from bicycles to cars.
  • Organizational framework for carpooling; we bring people together with the same goal or similar direction.
  • Community bring along service, where users can bring along what they need for each other.

The best part: There is a small financial reward for the friendly helpers from the neighbourhood.
For more infos check out our website: www.carre-mobility.de

Since we take an inclusive approach, there will be a web application in addition to an app. Further, we don't want to just put the solution "on the doorstep", but rather take the people with us via introductory events.

Carré is intended to create benefits not only for local residents, but also for our environment:

  • By using shared vehicles, we contribute to fewer vehicles in the medium/long term.
  • By providing low-emission or completely free vehicles, we reduce the environmental impact.
  • With each shared journey we have saved one journey alone.
  • With every shopping list we brought along, we have saved traffic through delivery or "double" trips.

The desired result: less traffic, less emissions and more space for new interior design.

And how does it work?
The implementation of a Carré mobility platform is to take place in three phases:
Phase 1 - Conception together with all relevant parties (e.g. housing construction companies / administration, owners, city administration)
Main components: location selection, vehicle constellation, communication etc.
Phase 2 - Participation
Concept presentation for the residents of the neighbourhood including a trial track and the possibility of co-determination on the final vehicle constellation.
3rd phase - Implementation together with the partners
Main components: Provision of vehicles, start of operation of the digital mobility platform, opening event (incl. software tutorials).
From now on, residents can download and use the Carré Mobility app (or web tool). A detailed overview of the software functions can be found here: https://www.carre-mobility.de/mobilitaetsloesung?lang=en

Tangible projects next year:
We have already been able to win project partners in Berlin, Bochum and Rüsselsheim for our idea. They provide us with space, vehicles and access to residential areas to realize our idea. Now we need YOU to make our platform idea a reality!

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

With Carré Mobility, we want to

  • create a cost-effective, convenient alternative to having your own car.
  • increase the average occupancy rate of vehicles, i.e. create the possibility for more people to drive together.
  • offer elderly, sick or overtime people a security of supply (from within the community).

This means that we have a very heterogeneous target group. We want everyone from young to old to be able to use our solution if they want to - which of course we hope they do ;)
To ensure this, we would like to offer software trainings especially for the older generation in the course of the introductory events.

But not only private persons are potential users, also surrounding businesses can use our solution for their needs.

Why would you support this project?

For an honest and meaningful mobility turnaround, I am convinced that there must be a solution that is specifically tailored to people's needs. A solution that makes the use of shared mobility easy, promotes car pooling, can create security of supply and in return can collectively contribute to better coexistence.

This is exactly what we want to achieve with Carré Mobility. If that is something that you also want and what you would like to contribute to, we warmly welcome you! Let's start a movement together and contribute to a meaningful change in mobility.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

The money goes completely into the finalization of our platform. With the first funding target we can finalize a functional Android and iOS-app and integrate the needed telematic solution.

And if we reach the second funding target together:

  • Design optimization according to UX
  • Conversion to Web
  • Personnel support during roll-out

Who are the people behind the project?

Beside myself (Franziska Weiser) there are currently three more wonderful people )behind Carré Mobility.

Who are we? And what are we good for?:
