Das Geld wird für die Produktionskosten (Tonmeister, Pressung, Fotos, Booklet-Layout) sowie für Honorare der außer mir beteiligten Musiker*innen verwendet.
After rehearsing intensively alone and together with my duo partner Didier Jacquin [døbas] and with the string-quartet of the notabu ensemble, we are now ready to go. Studio and recording engineer are in standby, the recording can start.
We are going to record solo pieces for bass-clarinet (arrangements of Bach`s string solos and modern music), pieces for bass-clarinet duo (baroque and modern) as well as pieces for bass-clarinet and string-quartet.
The aim is to have a finished album in spring 2022.
The project is for people who are crazy about bass-clarinet music and those who would like to become such.
1. I´m firmly convinced that there is far to little bass-clarinet music in this world!
2. Crowdfunding is the ideal platform for free-lance musicians without a record label to accomplish a recording project. This is why every contribution is very welcome and essential for the success of the project.
3. There´s no risk for you: if the financial goal of the campaign is not reached (hopefully it will be), the money will be refunded to you in full.
If the campaign goal is reached, the money will be used for the musicians` and sound engineer`s fees, for photos, booklet layout and pressing the CD.
Myself!
I am a passionate bass-clarinettist!
But how did I get there?
I studied clarinet at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne with Prof. Ralph Manno. Back then, already, my first encounter with the bass-clarinet took place...and I fell in love immediately!
Different orchestral experiences, a bass-clarinet solo part in a musical production, lots and lots of contemporary music and different pedagogical stages later, I am today an ardent music teacher (music-school of Mönchengladbach / University of Cologne) and free-lance (bass-)clarinettist.
