Bahros & Eveline Drummen have chosen a novel presentation option for this year’s World Improvisional Music Day (WIMD).
The programs of Autumn 2020 with world class artists for a Dancefilm is to bring audiences to watch WIMD 2020 TV when they choose and in the comfort of their TV screen, home-cinema installations, video projectors…, enabling an enhanced artistic experience.
5 world premiere performances are being presented this year: two improvisional piano concertos, two dance programs, improvisional piano sonatas and last but surely not least Beethoven’s 3rd piano concerto celebrating his 250th birthday. Indeed, Beethoven improvised the piano part during the premiere of this concerto!
This budget will enable the start up of a platform where the mentioned productions above can be made for. This will be to the benefit of the art world connecting on a special level that will be available for everyone around the world and will create new inspiration with a vision towards unity and peace.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
Project goal: creating the presented pieces and Celebrate the World Improvisional Music Day via a 15 hour video production for WIMD.TV and international television distribution.
The project is for international audiences interested in music and dance.
Why would you support this project?
This will enable the creation of a unique filmproject that could initiate establishing a platform that will protect artistic creations and artists to keep working in a distinguished way necessary for the already fragile art world
Improvisation is an art which needs to be recorded or filmed in order to be shared with audiences. Given the current Corona related complications for stage production, we would like to present our yearly world event to audiences around the world.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
Payments to 30 dancers, artists involved, choreographer, composers, orchestra, chorus, stage designer, lighting technicians, sound engineer, film maker/director and camera men, moderate travel and accommodation costs, rental of dance theatre and orchestra hall, creation of WIMD.TV, services, webmaster, legal fees, and accounting. Any additional funding received will be used for preparing WIMD 2021 and voluntary work done on private money until now.
