"Detox" zeigt eine Welt, in der sich jeder selbst der Nächste ist. Eine Welt voll Schrecken und Verlust, von der wir nicht mehr weit entfernt sind. Und eine Welt, die einen Mann mit der Frage konfrontiert, ob es sich lohnt, am letzten Funken Hoffnung festzuhalten.
