Der Kurzfilm „Don't mess things up“ ist ein gesellschaftskritisches Drama. Er erzählt die Geschichte des schwarzen Krankenpflegers Kurt, der nebenher mit Drogen dealt. Rassismus, Drogen und Gewalt sind für ihn schon fast alltäglich. Visuell orientiert das Projekt sich dabei an Filmen wie „Once upon a time in Hollywood“, „Joker“ oder „Bad times at the El Royale“.
