The Festival 3B organizes 2014 for the third time classical chamber music concerts with young top musicians from all around the world. The theme for the program 2014 is "The four elements: fire, water, wind and earth" and so each of the four main concerts is dedicated to one element and creates a connection among various styles of music within the classical chamber music repertoire.
Musicians of the Festival 3B 2014 are Kit Armstrong (piano), Julien Quentin (piano), Alexandra Soumm (violin), Agata Szymczewska (violin), Barbara Buntrock (viola), Werner Dickel (viola), Isang Enders (violoncello), David Pia (violoncello), the Leipzig Quartet, the Signum Saxophonquartet as well as the band SignumFIVE.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The goal is to continue enriching the cultural landscape of our city, Wuppertal, with our young, fresh and outside of the box thinking festival. Although the concerts are our most important part of the event, we complete our program every year with campaigns or workshops that either enable interested people to get a new perspective on classical music or that reach out to people that otherwise would have little possibility to get in touch with classical music.
Our musicians are young top stars of the international classical music world and the festival program in a sense a joint work of art. The exceptional: the ensembles that play in the festival concerts, can only be heard in this way once. Because of that our concert offer a unique experience in the best sense und the spontaneous inspiration leads to high performance.
Why would you support this project?
We want to make sure that everybody can afford to attend a concert. In order to keep our ticket prices low we need donations and funding. Classical music is a very important part of our cultural heritage and concerts, that people can experience live are a source for inspiration, that cannot be replaced by videos or recordings.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
The money from this crowdfunding campaign will be used to finance comprehensive documentation of the festival. Beautiful pictures and high quality audio recordings of all concerts are a nice souvenir for our audience but for the project management an important tool for acquisition of new funding and sponsoring partners in the future.
