Inspiriert von wahren Ereignissen, beschäftigt sich die Tanztheaterproduktion „Ghost Girls“ mit der Geschichte der Radium Girls, die vor ca. 100 Jahren in den USA ihren Anfang nahm. Das zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht sehr lang bekannte chemische Element Radium war zu dieser Zeit sehr gefragt und galt sogar als gesundheitsfördernd. Die Radium Girls arbeiteten ohne jeden Schutz mit einer radiumhaltigen Farbe, ungeahnt möglicher Folgen.
