Kunstgebung

In unserem Projekt geht es um einen Tag der Künste, um künstlerischen Protest und die Etablierung pandemiesicherer Kunstkonzepte. Kunst ist ein essentielles Medium, um eine Auseinandersetzung mit Themen, die uns alle betreffen, zu ermöglichen - und das wird gerade massiv eingeschränkt! Für uns ist dieser Protest daher auch mehr als ein Protest, der auf das durch die Pandemie noch größer gewordene Prekariat im Kunst- und Kulturbereich hinweist. Es geht um gesamtgesellschaftliche Zusammenhänge, es geht um die Frage, wie wir als Gesellschaft leben wollen. Wie wir ein gerechtes und nachhaltiges System aufbauen können, in der Menschen nicht ausgebeutet werden. In dem Rassismus, Sexismus, Klassismus und andere Diskriminierungsformen keinen Platz haben. In dem wir einen gesunden Zugang zu Natur und einen gewaltfreien Umgang miteinander und Lebewesen haben, sprich aufhören, ökologische Krisen zu produzieren.

Kunst ist ein essentieller Bestandteile unserer Gesellschaft, indem sie existenzielle Fragen aufwirft, diskutiert und Raum für ein Miteinander schafft. Die Stimme der Kunst darf nicht verstummen, denn mit ihr verstummen viele weitere. Daher brauchen wir Kunst insbesondere in Krisenzeiten und müssen nachhhaltige Lösungen finden und durchsetzen, um dies wieder zu ermöglichen.

Die Kunstgebung schafft einen solchen Raum und bringt verschiedenste Künstler:innen unterschiedlicher Sparten zusammen die Begegnungen aller Art, Darbietungen und einen wunderschönen Tag ermöglichen.

Our project is a day of celebration of the arts as well as a day of protest for the arts. We demand the establishment of a system that guarantees a livelihood for artists – during a pandemic and beyond. Art is essential for society in that it allows dialog on issues important to and for us all, but it is currently being repressed and silenced. Therefore, this is not only a protest that wants to shine a light on the precarious situation so many artists find themselves in at the moment. This protest wants to foreground issues that concern society as a whole and raises the question of how we want to live life within this society: How can we create a more just and sustainable system which does not live on exploitation? How can we ban racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination? How can we live in harmony with nature and all things living instead of bringing about one crisis after another?

Art is an essential part of our society as it gives rise to and tries to answer questions such as the above as it a medium that provides space for discussion and understanding. Art must not be silenced, or we, too, will lose our voice. This is why we need art, especially in times like these, and this is why we need to find ways to give back its voice.

The Kunstgebung is set out to do so and brings together artists of various disciplines whose performance should touch you, make you pause and think and light up your day.

• künstlerischen Protest und politische Diskussionen über das Medium Kunst ermöglichen

Indem ihr unser Projekt unterstützt, ermöglicht ihr das Schaffen und Erleben von Kunst. Ihr ermöglicht Begegnungen, die ohne eine solche Veranstaltung ausblieben. Ihr ermöglicht Gagen, die wertschätzend und fair sind. Eure Unterstützung hilft, pandemiesichere Kunstkonzepte aufzubauen und Menschen einen Zugang zu Kunst zu ermöglichen. Kunst, die uns berührt, die uns erlaubt, zusammenzukommen, zu lachen, zu weinen, darüber nachzudenken und zu verweilen. Im Freien zu stehen, mal wieder zu sein. Ihr ermöglicht, der Kunstgebung auch eure Stimme zu geben und damit lauter zu werden. Denn ohne kUNSt wirds still.

Supporting this project means giving people the opportunity to create and experience art first hand after a long time where this was impossible. Your donation enables us to pay wages to our artists that show them that their work is valued and respected. It allows for the development of ways to create and enjoy art safely and responsibly during the pandemic. It gives people the opportunity for artistic performances to take place that make you connect with yourself and others, that make you laugh, cry, wonder and linger. With your help, we can give art back its voice. Because without art, the world grows silent.

Das Geld aus der Crowdfunding-Kampagne wird verwendet um allen teilnehmenden Künstler:innen eine halbwegs zufriedenstellende Gage zu ermöglichen. Unser Ziel ist es, so nah wie möglich an die Fair Pay Richtlinien zu kommen.
Wieso braucht es Fair Pay Richtlinien fragt ihr euch vielleicht.

Ständig wird die Gage von Künstler:innen heruntergehandelt, oft werden Künstler:innen unterbezahlt und auch Förderungen reichen oft nicht aus um sich eine angemessene Gage auszubezahlen. Vielen Menschen ist noch immer nicht klar, dass künstlerische tätigkeit eine Lohnarbeit ist. Das Honorar einer Installateurin nach der Thermenwartung wird nicht infrage gestellt, das einer Jongleurin für einen Auftritt leider viel zu oft.

Die Zeit und Energie der Arbeit, die hinter einen 5minütigen Jonglagenummer steckt bleibt oft unsichtbar. Daher braucht es diese Richtlinien - noch ist es ein weiter Weg, bis diese selbstverständlich sind. Mit euer Unterstützung können wir einen weiteren Schritt in die richtige Richtung gehen!

We will use the money to pay our participating artists wages for their work, ideally following fair pay guidelines. Why are these fair pay guidelines necessary, you might ask.

The vast majority of contemporary artists are famously underpaid and can often barely survive financially. Even if their projects are being subsidized, their wages are far from fair. It is still largely unknown that artists perform wage labor. While no one questions a plumber´s fee, a professional juggler´s, unfortunately, is bargained over far too often. This is because the time and effort that go into the development of a juggling act are invisible and, thus, rarely considered. And this is why we need fair pay guidelines. We are a far way from them being institutionalized but with your help, we can take important step in getting there.
