Ich habe 3 Jahre in Manenberg, dem Stadtteil von Kapstadt mit der höchsten Kriminalitätsrate im Land, gearbeitet. Die Menschen dort sind stigmatisiert, weil sie von dort stammen und glauben, dass sie keine Chancen im Leben haben. Ich habe während meiner sozialen Arbeit Menschen in Manenberg kennen lernen dürfen, die ihren Mitbewohnern und uns allen Vorbilder sind. Den Erfolg dieser bemerkenswerten Menschen beschreibe ich in diesem Buch, mit eindrucksvollen Bildern der Fotografin Yasmin Hankel.
