One Night Stand is about being in control of a certain situation. Our main character Sonja has to take matters into her own hands when her friends want to hook her up with a nice guy and when she has to deal with a dangerous situation in her own apartment.
Our main goal is to produce a thrilling and entertaining film that will get viewers hooked and surprised by its twists.
We hope to reach film fans who like short films in general, thrillers and comedy.
Crowdfunding is the new way to finance projects like this short film without having to make creative sacrifices. The more financial support we can get, the better the final product will be.
If you decide to support us, we will be eternally thankful and we'll reward you with a few goodies like photos from the set, the film on DVD or Bluray and so on.
We love movies. We love telling stories. But to be able to make this idea into a thrilling and working film, we need money for a lot of things:
- equipment (dolly, lights, etc.)
- make up
- props and stunt props
- costumes
- location fees
- catering for cast and crew
- travel costs
- post production costs
- film festival fees etc.
In addition, we've put together a great and motivated team, and I would like to give everyone involved a small allowance as a thank you for investing hard work and a lot of time. We were also able to bring two fantastic actors into the project, who have to pay their rents somehow.
If we cross the threshold (1,000 €), we'll be able to produce and release this entertaining little flick.
If we reach our goal (4,000 €), we can even shoot an integral scene as it was originally intended. As the scene is of a somewhat racy nature, we'd have to meet one of our actor's agency's salary demands, depending on how the scene is shot.
Initiator of and creative mind behind this project is writer, actor and director Marc Oliver Schnell. Born in 1980 in Hanau, Germany, he started working on theatre productions during his early school days. 15 years ago, he joined the ensemble of the Chaincourt Theatre Company, where he has been onstage in over 20 productions and helmed 4 shows as director. After participating in several workshops held by Kevin Simmers (San Francisco) and Robert Swain (University of London), he attended an intensive acting training at the Sanford Meisner Center in Los Angeles in 2012.
In cooperation with cinematographer Robert Hahn and sound engineer Folker Seipelt, he has so far produced the shorts Spieglein, Spieglein and Einundzwanzig zweiundzwanzig.
