I'm a US citizen originally hailing from Santa Fe, New Mexico. That said, I was actually born in San Francisco, California, and have also lived in Charlottesville, Virginia and Princeton, New Jersey, and for the last 15 or so years I've called Berlin my home. Coming from a background in art and architecture, the musician James Kroll and I founded Nalu Diner together in the fall of 2012. As with many restaurants it's been a rocky road ever since. It's been so tough, in fact, that eventually we decided to part ways, leaving me as the sole proprietor of the business. Looking forward, I hope to carry on a legacy of the diner we dreamed up together. Given my own background and interests, I see the diner as a kind of "Gesamtkunstwerk" that encompasses cuisine, design, art, music and a whole lot more!
