With your help That's me should be large and professionally published and marketed.
In Spring 2017, I got to write, produce, arrange and finally record the 11 songs of my new album “That’s me!” with Andy Pfeiler (Nils Landgren Funk Unit, Alcazar,…) in Stockholm – Songs talking about my life and dreams – this time, for the first time, even in my native tongue. The distinct mix of jazz-funk pop music turns this album into a cool statement. Special guests like Joo Kraus, Jonas Wall, and Thomas Siffling gave this project a special kind of magic.
Hellooooo, earworms!
It is with your help, that I would like to publish my second album “That’s me!” professionally. It is our goal to reach at least 5000 €. This sum will allow me to cover the costs for finishing the album (layout, replication) as well as the ones for marketing. At reaching the second level of our goal of 7500 € there will also be a vinyl version of the album. Additionally, I would also like to play several release concerts throughout Europe, so that, ideally, I can get to know you on site; or at least bring my music to you on CD.
Another goal is to delight even more people through my music and thus, become more known.
So to all you music-loving people: Do you like listening to pop, jazz, or funk, or do you just not like thinking inside a box, and are you happy about handmade, live music that really carries you away? If so, support me!
This project contains a lot of blood, sweat and tears, but without your help, it won’t be realized!
Each cent of this crowd funding will be used to publishing my new album “That’s me!”
You want to be part of this matter so close to my heart? It won’t be for naught. Next to my absolute gratitude, there will be different thank you gifts among which you may choose and thus will also be able to choose on how you wish to support this project. You could e.g. take singing lessons with me, meet me at the sound-check of a concert or invite some friends to be surprised by a private concert with me.
Independent of the success of this campaign each supporter will get the song “Will That Chance Come Twice” out of the album beforehand.
Up to now I have funded all incurred production costs by myself. All songs have been recorded, mixed and mastered. Thus, the musical part is finished. However, I’m still at the beginning of a long process as work is far from being finished, it has just begun. I am 100 % behind my project and this is the reason why I want my new album “That’s me!” to be published as big and as professionally as possible.
Parts of this are:
• graphic design of the CD
• re-creation of the homepage
• image editing, graphic designer
• video shoot with professional video artists
• costs for cutting CDs and vinyl albums (at reaching the second funding goal)
• promotion (print, TV, radio) by professional agencies
• release tour incl. my band in many towns, national and international
These being only the biggest items, as there are no limits to costs regarding design and promotion of an album.
With your help we will advertise this project and get the most out of it.
After a successful conclusion of the campaign all thank you gifts will be sent out…
… if the goal should not be reached, all supporters will get back their money. If we even reach the second goal of € 7500, you can look forward to receiving “That’s me!” on vinyl. There is no risk in it for you!
My name is Rieke Katz. I am a young and aspiring pop jazz singer living in Karlsruhe. My label Herbie Martin Music supports me in all things arising around this project.
