We are Soundsation – and have been for more than 40 years! We love to sing, and to listen to ourselves every week. Hopefully, very soon you will be able to listen to us, too! Soundsation have recorded some gorgeous songs, truly a “Best of” from our repertoire under the artistic direction of Dr. Matthias Becker. Now we need your help to turn these into a CD. What is this project all about?

Jazz standards, jazz fusion, ethno and pop, either a cappella or accompanied by a big band: Soundsation want to release an album that sums up and shows what makes this choir special, which is a huge musical range at a high level, realized with loving care and enjoyment for the music.

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

Our goal is to produce an album that fully represents the quality and musical diversity of Soundsation. We are confident that it will appeal to all lovers of modern vocal music and jazz and, of course, to everyone who has already enjoyed one of our many concerts.

Why would you support this project?

Our album will include vocal music with a unique array of musical styles! In our musical work, we give it our all to deliver best quality. To achieve that same quality level for the recording and mixing, we do require your support.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

We will use the money to pay for the complete CD production: Mixing, premix, mastering, CD pressing, - plus for all further costs like GEMA royalties, and cover artwork. All that costs quite a bit!

Who are the people behind the project?

Soundsation are 28 singers who, together with their conductor Dr. Matthias Becker, offer modern choir music at a high, professional level. We consistently strive to refine our sound and repertoire, which is distinguished by a broad spectrum of sounds and musical moods. Swing numbers, complex jazz arrangements, and improvisation are all part of it, as are pop, fusion and ethno songs. Many of the arrangements stem from the pen of Matthias, who makes them fit the singers’ voices like a glove.
