'Into the Surreal forest' is a collaboration between the band Mekka, photographer Elise Kammerer, videographer Adrian Nehm and the creative production surreflections. The goal of our project is to produce a musicvideo and band pictures for Mekka, as well as make a fashion editorial and fashion film. All of these sub-projects are united by the surrealistic forest set build by surreflections. This will be constructed in a classical stage design manner with multiple levels, layers and a background painted on canvas to establish depth. In order to create this surreal world we will build giant enoki mushrooms, zebra-striped trees, colossal lily pads and a waterfall
Upon completion of the production we plan a little video premiere party with elements of the forest where you can experience this world first hand!
Mekka’s music appeals to those who like to dream, dance, fly, transcend and transpire, seek inspiration and are open to a new world! Dip into a sound that you've never heard before! A sound that combines elements of electronic music with exquisite melodies and improvisation of other cultures, and see these things in a cinematic transformation in the new music video!
Surreflections seeks the implementation of various creative media such as fashion shoots and videos always in connection with artistic elements. We want to give our creations a content and tell stories. We also want to support particularly the Berlin fashion and creative scene and be part of it. Thus, our project addresses everybody who is interested in supporting the adaptation of a music video and other media in a surrealistic, dreamlike way.
You can simultaneously support a variety of artists and their projects as well as visions. We give you the possibility to keep track of the progress of our work. For generous contributions you can even get the opportunity to celebrate with us! We want to share our music and our creativity with you and think it would be wonderful if we could realize this idea together.
For set design and production of the music and fashion videos as well as the photo shoots we need a number of materials, a space where we can build our surreal world, technical equipment to light it up and transportation. In particular, we have calculated as follows:
material set design: ca. 500 €
studio rent: ca. 650€
equipment rent: ca. 650 €
transportation: 200 €
