What is this project all about?

The landscapes we inhabit are ruinous. Dominant forms of spatial planning that have significantly contributed to the destruction of our environments are in crisis. In order to develop different forms of spatial planning, it´s crucial to trace architecture’s involvement in creating and upholding the dominance of these destructive relationships.

This book builds on a critical analysis of ecological simplification as a driving force of capitalist spatial planShow more

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

The book addresses people, groups and disciplines that research, think and plan in space-related ways. It can be of interest to you in different ways: as a transdisciplinary project that raises questions of what a collaborative and more-than-human approach to shaping our environments could look like. As a scientific and artistic exploration of topics relating to urban ecology, the right to the city and urban planning. As an engagement with concrete phenomeShow more

Why would you support this project?

In addition to the political relevance of highlighting the involvement of architecture in the destruction of our environments, this campaign is of great financial importance to us. Due to the current funding situation in Berlin, the publication of our book is dependent on the help of many. The target amount of money is needed to pay for content editing, stylistic proofreading, graphic design, printing, the publisher and startnext.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

We are very excited that our book will be published by ADOCS publishers, based in Hamburg. ADOCS will support us in the publication of the book and its distribution in bookstores across Europe after the official release. This fundraising campaign gives you the chance, however, to get a book even earlier and some relational gifts as a thank you for your support.

Besides an event to release the book, we are planning to do collective walks, an exhibition and bShow more

Over these years we have practiced a way of working that relates perspectives of architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, academic teaching, cooperation with civil sociShow more
