Das Verdi-Requiem 2013 - ein (ge-)denkwürdiges Ereignis

Verdis „Messa da Requiem“ und das KZ-Durchgangslager in Theresienstadt (Terezín) sind in besonderer Weise verbunden. In den Jahren 1943 und 1944 gelang es dem jüdischen Dirigenten Rafael Schächter dort Verdis Requiem aufzuführen. Heute ist Terezín zum Gedenkort geworden und die dortige Garnisonskirche zu einem Ort internationaler Begegnung – doch die Orgel ist kaum noch spielbar. Wir möchten dazu beitragen, diesem Instrument wieder Leben einzuhauchen! Mit international bekannten Solisten.
