"Alles auf Anfang" ist der dritte Teil einer Trilogie, die den Namen "Geister" tragen wird. Die ersten beiden Teile, "Und alles hat den Tod" und "Affekt" sind bereits abgedreht und fertig produziert. "Alles auf Anfang" wird der Abschluss der Trilogie und hat nicht nur eine eigenständige Handlung, sondern erklärt auch die ersten beiden Filme und gibt der Handlung eine weitere Ebene.
