What is this project all about?

Tradition meets modernism. Never Falls weaves traditional textiles into modern everyday clothing. But what makes it so special?

Artisan Empowerment:
All of our products include a QR code so you can meet the people behind the product. Through this, we want to make a clear statement against cultural appropriation and give credit to the corresponding artisans.

Cultural Appreciation:
By incorporating traditional weaving techniques into the production process, we want to preserve these traditions from extinction and make them more attractive to local young people. Start celebrating culture!

Social Impact:
You can thank the artisans directly via a tip button on our online store. The tip goes without deductions directly to the cooperative at the end of the year. Through this, local projects of the community can be financed.

Handmade Quality:
All our products are handwoven or embroidered by the cooperatives. Traditional weaving techniques are used, which are passed down from generation to generation.

Unique Design:
By combining tradition with modernism, we create unique products that are ready for your next adventure.

All this is combined under one lifestyle brand - Never Falls!

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

Our goal is to have more transparency and cultural appreciation in the fashion industry. What does that mean in concrete terms?

Goal:
We want to promote fair, transparent, and sustainable fashion by visualizing the people behind the products. Through this, we want to set a clear statement against cultural appropriation.

By weaving traditional textiles into modern everyday clothing, we also want to preserve this amazing craft from extinction and make it attractive again for younger generations!

Target group:
We are looking for adventurous people, globetrotters, and cultural ambassadors. With you, we aim to shape the fashion industry more fairly!

Why would you support this project?

With our camera straps, we have already proven what is possible! Through crowdfunding, we want to expand the concept to other cooperatives and products to have an even bigger impact!

The problem:
Indigenous cooperatives have been producing high-quality products for a long time, but they have a hard time entering the international market. This is partly due to their inaccessibility and partly due to cultural appropriation by large fashion companies. These exploit traditional patterns, with no indication of origin or meaning, for their campaigns and the mass market. Unfortunately, 70% of the 550,000 artisans registered in Mexico live in poverty.

The solution:
We have teamed up with Mexican weavers to combat these problems together with you. By working with the weavers as equal partners and incorporating their years of experience into the creative design process, we eliminate cultural appropriation. All our products have a QR code, so you can meet the producers. Direct cooperation guarantees fair wages and working conditions. In addition, you have the opportunity to thank the producers directly via a tip button.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

Funding level 1:
Small company, large minimum order quantities. That's reality! As soon as we have achieved the first level with you, we can start the production of the new t-shirts and caps.

Funding level 2:
We want to give the Mexican weavers a stage in the form of a documentary film. A series of interviews will be conducted to bring you closer to their traditions and dreams.

Who are the people behind the project?

Hi, we are Nina and Nils, we founded Never Falls in 2020. Through our German-Mexican roots, we both share a passion for Mexico and everything that is produced there.

Nina:
Co-Founder of Never Falls. Born and raised in Mexico and moved to Germany to study. It's super fun to work together with the artisans in Mexico and use all our creativity in creating new products!

Nils:
Co-Founder of Never Falls. Born in Germany and raised in Mexico and also moved to Germany to study. Growing up in two cultures makes you realize how important culture is to humanity and how innovation can emerge from it!

Roberta and Cooperative:
Roberta and her cooperative of more than 35 women are the queens of embroidery! Every possible symbol you can imagine they realize on textiles. We admire their precise embroidery skills!

Alejandro and family:
Alejandro and his family are responsible for the chest pockets. A true second-generation family business. The "Telar de Pedal" weaving process uses patterns and techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation, expressing their unique culture.

Juan and family:
Juan and his family are responsible for the culture bags. Juan is a creative mind who loves to try new things! He is currently converting his grandma's old house into a weaving station.
