Crowdfunding since 2010

Collective concert by KOLLEKTIV UNRUHE, a young Berlin collective of composers and performers at the Klangwerkstatt festival.

We are a new Berlin-based collective of composers and performers who will present our full-length program NOT FOUND on November 16th at Klangwerkstatt Berlin, where twelve Unruhe members will approach the topic of failed communication together from different perspectives, creating a participatory installation with the audience in Studio 1 of Kunstquartier Bethanien in Berlin/Kreuzberg. 3000€ covers essential costs, means fair fees for artists, and pays our admin who currently volunteer.

What is this project all about?

NOT FOUND is about the question: Where is one or something when it is not found, where do our lost thoughts, objects, melodies, search queries etc. end up?
We explore this question together with the audience in a collective composition. As a collective, we are composers, performers and explorers and accompany the audience through the aesthetic experience.

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

With our project we want to offer an original concert experience which will speak to people from many backgrounds: we want to establish ourselves in Berlin's new music scene and not only engage our friends and colleagues within the new music community, but also open our doors to less niche audiences by trying to create an inclusive aesthetic experience than can be appreciated from many perspectives.

Why would you support this project?

We are a young, dynamic collective in the making, trying to establish ourselves in the Berlin and international new music scene. With this project we want to pave the way for many more projects with original concepts. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and as individuals are very experienced in myriad forms of music making - co-composition, improvisation, theatre, multidisciplinary performance, and are set on dismantling traditional classical hierarchies. With your support, you not only make our collective experiment NOT FOUND possible, but you also invest in our collective future.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

We have a very detailed budget plan and have already secured some core funding in the form of various government funding grants. With your support, you make it possible to realise the most essential part of our budget plan: In concrete terms, that means fees for musicians, transport costs, and instrument hire.

Who are the people behind the project?

The project is backed by the association Kollektiv Unruhe e. V. and the festival Klangwerkstatt - the Berlin Festival for New Music. It will be documented by director Lia Campbell and producer Anna Callan (funded by NI Screen).

The crowdfunding project has been successfully completed. Supporting and ordering is no longer available on Startnext.

  • The processing of orders placed will be handled directly by the project owners according to the stated delivery time.

  • The production and delivery is the responsibility of the project owners themselves.

  • Cancellations and returns are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective project owner.

  • Revocations and cancellations via Startnext are no longer possible.
