If few people consume most of our resources, poverty, wars and refugees will emerge elsewhere as a result of this injustice.
In Germany our current lifestyle is consuming four to six times of what we would be entitled to in a world of fair distribution.
This is unjust and inappropriate for the world, it is simply unethical.
We are deeply convinced that even with a very low consumption of resources and energy it is possible to live a good and comfortable life. For this purpose we have developed a small DIY home. (… a small house which you can build yourself (without professional help))!
We would like to offer an affordable ready-made construction kit for a complete small and cozy home, a home built with sustainable and sound building materials, a home which generates its own energy and which allows which makes it possible to enjoy an ethical lifestyle
The following points help us to reach this aim:
We use sustainable local building materials.
We cooperate with a carpentry which prefabricates all wooden parts precisely fitting.
A fotovoltaic system combined with a battery storage device provides the energy we need for our economical DC (direct current) technology.
We collect and use rainwater which can be re-used with the help of plants and modern technology.
Food can be produced in the attached greenhouse.
A projekt for everybody…
who is longing for a good and simple life,
who wants to enjoy life without harming others.
And for refugees who would like to build by their own hands a home worth living.
to come closer to a more liveable housing situation for everybody,
to create affordable living space for a good life for all,
to offer an attractive option for the accommodation of refugees,
in brief: to make life more liveable.
All the money will be spent on building the first fully functioning prototype interested people can live in for a test. We hope that this can tempt/encourage as many people as possible to live a life which is just and suitable for our world.
Klemens Jakob:
After studying art I was engaged in organic farming and the marketing of organic food. Additionally I trained as a building biologist and set up a company for renewable energies where I was in charge of the research and development department for several years.
Now I would like to contribute the wide and various experiences which I have gained to the new ownhome project in order to realize our dream of building a home for an ethical lifestyle together with friends and their skills.
