Crowdfunding since 2010

Help The Razorblades to cover the missing income from the cancelled release tour 2020 by buying a CD, vinyl or supporter T-shirt!

THE RAZORBLADES, Germany’s busiest surf band can’t tour in 2020 – despite a new album. 35 shows have been cancelled, any income from concert fees, merchandise and royalties is not happening. Production costs for the new album "Howlin' At The Copycats" have to be covered nevertheless. What happens in 2021 stays unclear. By buying a supporter shirt or other merchandise you can help the band to cover the costs for the band van, website, digital distribution and so on.

What is this project all about?

THE RAZORBLADES, Germany’s busiest surf band can’t tour in 2020 – despite a new album. 35 shows have been cancelled, any income from concert fees, merchandise and royalties is not happening. Production costs for the new album "Howlin' At The Copycats" have to be covered nevertheless. What happens in 2021 stays unclear. By buying a supporter shirt or other merchandise you can help the band to cover the costs for the band van, website, digital distribution and so on.

This will probably go on in the next year 2021. Due to the uncertain situation and countless rescheduled concerts regular booking won’t be possible. So it’s 2 years of lost income versus cost for the album production, promotion, band van and website/digital distribution
Stop making music is no alternative – Rock’n’Roll is our job, our calling and passion. To make sure THE RAZORBLADES story will continue, we try to empty the merch warehouse and raise some money with a supporter T-shirt!

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

Save the existence of THE RAZORBLADES.
The project is interesting for any surf fan, punk rocker,
rock'n'roller, DIY-guy, cultural interested person and everybody who wants to help self employed artists

Why would you support this project?

Since 2002 THE RAZORBLADES do everything in true DIY fashion: label, album release, booking, the majority of promotion, webshop, driving the tour bus and playing rock’n’roll on stage!

This shall continue, but we have to cover the costs, even if the income situation for professional bands looks bad. We don’t ask for presents or donations. You’ll get a T-shirt, Cds, LP and more for your money!

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

The money covers the costs for album production, promotion, band van and website/digital distribution.

Who are the people behind the project?

THE RAZORBLADES and Martin Schmidt aka THE INCREDIBLE MR. SMITH
