What is the project goal and who is the project for?
Ziel ist die Herausgabe einer professionellen Übersetzung durch meinen Eigenverlag, Flo Do Books. Zielgruppe ist eine Leserschaft im deutschsprachigen Raum, da die Handlung zumeist in Wien, Genf, Madrid, Deutschland sowie Australien angesiedelt ist.
Aim is a professional translation of the novel to be published by Flo Do Books. Would appeal to German-language readers since setting is Vienna, Germany, Geneva, Madrid and Australia.
Why would you support this project?
Obwohl das englische Original sehr gute Rezensionen hatte, war es schwierig einen deutschsprachigen Verlag dafür zu finden, da ich nicht von einem Agenten vertreten werde. Ich weiß, dass meine Geschichte eine deutschsprachige Leserschaft interessieren wird. Meine professionelle Übersetzerin liebt das Buch und ist bereit, die Geschichte zu übersetzen. Ich möchte sie angemessen entlohnen und suche Unterstützung für mein Projekt - auch der Unabhängigkeit halber.
Without an agent it's impossible to get a German publisher. I have a good translator who loves the book and I have my own publishing house, so I'm doing it myself.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
Bei erfolgreicher Finanzierung kann ich die Übersetzerin und Korrekturleserin bezahlen.
If my project is successful, I will be able to pay the translator and proofreader.
