The UNESCON international song contest convention will offer three days of the best entertainment dedicated to the ESC. The festival will include autograph and meet-and-greet sessions as well as a welcome lounge with quiz and karaoke along with various concerts. The highlight is the ESC gala concert with a full orchestra and subsequent party. In addition, an extensive cultural and excursion program awaits all visitors who want to get to know what Hanover, the UNESCO City of Music, has to offer.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The festival is aimed at ESC fans who still regard the Song Contest as a music show and who want to experience how different their favorite music sounds and feels when played by a full-sized orchestra. The wide range of events taking place at the festival should address all fan groups, whether they celebrate the ESC primarily as a big party, or appreciate the competition as a major cultural event. The festival is also aimed at the "silent fans", those who follow the competition every year with big enthusiasm on TV without being a member of a fan club or travelling to see the live show, For these fans, UNESCON aims to bring the original ESC feeling to Hanover.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
The money will be used to finance UNESCON 2020, in particular artist fees and the social events. It will be used exclusively for the festival.
Who are the people behind the project?
The people behind the project are "Dr Eurovision" Irving Benoît Wolther and a team of avid ESC fans and music lovers, who in their spare time are working very hard to give the guests an unforgettable weekend and to spread the reputation of Hannover as a UNESCO City of Music to the whole wide world.
