Conditions of participation

The Launch Day will take place if at least 4 videos are accepted.

If more than 8 projects apply, we will curate the participants. Those who are not included will automatically be entered for the next Launch Day.

Legal recourse is excluded.

Simply turn on your cell phone camera and convince and entertain in 60 seconds. We take care of the launch day call-to-action for you. We incorporate reactions into your video, brand it and take care of the call-to-action. You just take care of your pitch. 

Your video will be approved if it meets the following conditions

Timing →

  • Submission deadline is 2pm on Tuesdays via Dropox link. See registration form ...
  • Your video is a maximum of 60 seconds long
  • The project starts by Thu. 4 pm at the latest or is already in the funding phase

Face →

  • You present your project personally in your pitch (no animations, no slides, no fakes, no AI)

Trace →

  • Explain why you are doing it

Space →

  • Explain where you are doing it

Base →

  • Explain who you are doing it for

Go viral →

  • Include something that will stick in people's minds
  • Accept our co-author invitation

Do's →

  • 9:16 format (cell phone portrait format)
  • You can enter multiple times
  • You can advertise your pitch
  • Present your team, your product, your service if required

Dont's →

  • You do not use licensed music, images or text, not even transcription
  • Avoid hocus-pocus (convince with authenticity, information, call-to-action and enthusiasm for your project)
  • Buying likes, comments etc. will lead to exclusion from the competition - we will check your video harshly. will lead to exclusion from the competition - we will check hard and kick out fraudsters
  • Videos in extreme poor quality have no chance

What we do with your video:

  • Check compliance with our guidelines
  • Cut out an excerpt for the launch
  • Cut animated reactions into it and comment
  • Ask you about it if necessary
  • Explain to the crowd what needs to be done to win the Launch Day

  • You will not get to see the video before the launch (due to time constraints)

  • We launch the approved videos on Thurs. around 4 pm

Are you in the starting blocks with your project or are you already live and want to gain more visibility and win a co-funding of 500 euros with good communication work?

Fill out our form now. At the end of the form, we will redirect you to the Dropbox link for your upload. Take a look at our conditions of participation first.

Admission criteria

  1. Your pitch is understandable, clear, short (maximum 60 seconds)
  2. The video is in portrait format and does not contain any components that require a license (music, video, images, typography)
  3. Your pitch video has good sound, light and image quality
  4. Your pitch contains your call to action to support your project
  5. You and possibly your team are visible in the pitch
  6. Your project is ready to launch or has been ready for support for a few days
  7. Your project complies with our guidelines
  8. Your project page has a high-quality and appealing design
  9. Your project is of value to the general public (private funding is not eligible for the pitch)
  10. You have read and accepted the conditions of participation

That's why you take part at Launch Day

The Insta-Game

Your post will be suggested frequently in feeds and stories if the recipients like, comment on, share and save your post. The more they do this, the more visible your post will be. The more visibility for your project.

You can convert this visibility into supporters if you send a clear message.

Our basic understanding of Launch Day is that you do what you should already be doing to make your project successful. You communicate directly and proactively with your crowd on Instagram. You play the Insta game (see info box).

This means that your post should be designed to be shareable and encourage interaction. As mentioned, you do this for your own project, not for Startnext.

The Launch Day format further supports this communication task through a community action that gives you even more visibility. If your pitch receives the highest number of likes, you will emerge as the winner of Launch Day.

Important! Currently, we only count likes until Wednesday at 4 PM and check for manipulation before announcing the winning project.
