Bing({'})h – The Vulva Bingo Game Vol .0

Awwww, kuckt mal: Druck. Und zwar der Schönste, den wir uns vorstellen können ^_^.
Heute haben wir nun die feste Rückmeldung: Bing({‘})h kommt! Zum Anfassen. Am 18.12 zu Mona. Dann wird konfektioniert, also alle Bestandteile zusammen gestellt, verpackt, mit euren persönlichen Dankeschön Nachrichten versehen & versendet, kurz: Eure Bing({‘})h Vol. 0 Dankeschöns werden am 18./19.12 in die Post gegeben & damit – wenn die Post mitmachen kann – kommen sie rechtzeitig für Weihnachten bei euch an.

Was war das jetzt mit der Überraschung? Das verrate ich euch beim nächsten Blogbeitrag <3.

Und, weil wir ein paar mal gefragt wurden: Awww, ja, es gibt Bing({‘})h noch zu kaufen, auch wenn das Crowdfunding vorbei ist. Schreibt uns einfach eine Mail oder kontaktiert uns auf einem anderen Kanal eurer Wahl. Wir produzieren jetzt 500 Spiele, da sind also noch ein paar bei Mona :) (alles andere macht keinen Sinn bei dem sog. Offset-Druck, da sonst ein Spiel ca. 100€/Stk kosten würde).

Heute möchte ich mit euch meine Erfahrungen teilen, was der Anspruch einer nachhaltigen Produktion, und darunter verstehen wir Nachhaltigkeit als ökologisch, ökonomisch und sozial am Beispiel von uns mit sich bringt und wie wir vorgegangen sind:

• Step 0: Overall Sich darauf einrichten, dass zwar ALLES etwas komplizierter und auch teurer wird, aber eben auch spannender & lernreicher und well, Vulvas lieben die Natur. Wie könnten wir dann nicht versuchen, so liebevoll wie möglich mit ihr umzugehen :)
• Step 1: Crew <3 So viel wie irgendwie möglich auch die eigene Crew zu bezahlen. Das klingt so selbstverständlich, aber genau bei <3-Projekten ist das gerne die erste Stelle, wo gespart wird. Auch bei uns haben viele tollen Menschen ihr Wissen & ihre Unterstützung kostenfrei zu Verfügung gestellt, wofür wir uns nochmal von ganzem Herzen bedanken wollen. Soweit wir konnten, hat Mona Aufträge vergeben. Wenn es auf jeden Fall superduper Freundschaftspreisen waren, so ist es doch ein Anfang.
• Step 2: Material & Druckerei Auswahl Da haben wir am Anfang viel gesucht & es ist so großartig, dass es inzwischen einige Druckereien gibt, die sich auf Nachhaltigkeit spezialisiert haben. Diese Spezialisierung wirkt sich auf die Materialauswahl, auf Farben, auf Lacke undundund aus. Es wäre bei uns so viel einfacher/günstiger gewesen, vorhandene Plastikverpackungen für Spielkarten zu nehmen. Aber: eben auch Plastik. Jetzt werden die Karten mit Papier gebündelt, von dem tollen Team, was uns bei dem ganzen Produktions- & Konzeptionsprozess unterstützt hat und eben auch in Bing({‘})h's Heimat produziert: Berlin. Ein riesen Dankeschön an Euch, liebe Oktoberdruck Druckerei, Herr Heine ganz im Speziellen! Es war nicht immer einfach mit uns als Gebährende :). Umso großartiger ist es jetzt zu sehen, wie Bing({‘})h dank Ihnen entsteht. Nicht zuletzt, dass Sie uns gerade dieses wunderbare Bild zu Verfügung gestellt haben <3.
• Step 3: Verpackung & Versand Klingt einfach, ist es aber gar nicht so sehr… denn hier spielt Größe & die Dicke einer Umverpackung eine riesen Rolle für die Kosten des Versands. Wie Eva, Herr Heine und Mona hier über 2mm herumgedocktert haben – wow. Alles deutete darauf hin, dass wir zum Schutz & trotzdem dünn eine Polstertasche nehmen sollten, also die Briefumschläge mit der Plastik-Plopp Folie = Plastik. Ohhh neee, das geht doch nicht. Auch wenn es eine/m zunächst nicht ins Auge springt: Es gibt inzwischen richtig tolles nachhaltiges Verpackungsmaterial von Pilzkulturen über Papier-Lösungen und so sind wir nach viel Recherche bei dem tollen Team rund um Frank bei Plastikfrei Verpacken . Für reguläre Briefumschläge ist die Verarbeitung aus alten Land-& Seekarten eine super schicke Sache, die holen wir uns hier

Today we now have the firm feedback: Bing({'})h cumes! On Friday, Dec 18 all components will arrive at Mona’s place & be put together, packaged, with your personal thank you notes and start its journey to you! In short: Your Bing({'})h Vol. 0 rewards go to the post office on Dec 18/19 and - if the post office can handle it - they’ll arrive in time for Christmas at your place.

What’s up with the little surprise we talked about? I'll tell you in the next blog post <3.

Because we've been asked a few times: Awww, yes, Bing({'})h is still available for purchase, even though the crowdfunding is over. Just send us an email / contact us on the channel of your choice. We are producing 500 games now, so there are still a few left at Mona :) (everything else makes no sense for a so called offset printing production, otherwise one game would cost about 100€/pc).

Here I want to share with you my experience, what the claim of a sustainable production (sustainability as ecological, economic and social) on the example of us brings with it and how we proceeded:

• Step 0: Overall Adjust to the fact that although EVERYTHING will be more complicated and also more expensive, but also more exciting & learning and well, Vulvas love nature. How could we not try to be as loving as possible with it :)
• Step 1: Crew <3 As much as somehow possible, pay your own crew. It sounds so obvious, but exactly in <3-projects this is often the first place to save money. Also with us, many great people have provided their knowledge & support free of charge, for which we want to THANK YOU again from the bottom of our hearts (& below). As far as we could, Mona has placed orders. Even though they were superduper friendship prizes, it's a start.
• Step 2: Material & Printer Selection That's where we did a lot of searching in the beginning. It's genius to see that there are now several printers that specialize in sustainability. This specialization affects material selection, inks, varnishes, andandand. It would have been so much easier/cheaper in our case to use, e.g. existing plastic packaging for playing cards. But: plastic. Booo. Now the cards are bundled with paper, made by the great team that helped us with the whole production & conception process and also produced in Bing({'})h's home: Berlin. A big thank you to you, dear Oktoberdruck printing office, Mr. Heine in particular! It wasn't always easy with us as the bearers :). So it's all the more heartwarming to see how Bing({'})h is coming thanks to you. Last but not least, thank you for this wonderful picture <3.
• Step 3: Packaging & Shipping Sounds simple, but it's not so much... because this is where size & the thickness of an outer package plays a huge role in the cost of shipping. The way Eva, Mr. Heine, and Mona doodled around here about 2mm - wow. Everything pointed to taking a padded bag* for protection & still thin (*the envelopes with the plastic plop foil) Plastic. Ohhh nooo, we couldn't do that. Even if it does not jump one in the eye: Great sustainable packaging material exist #whoop, e.g. of mushroom cultures or paper solutions. We’re now looking forward to our order by Plastikfrei Verpacken , thank you Frank & team for your great support. For regular envelopes we are in love with those beautiful envelops, processed from old land & sea maps.
