Samuel Prince Ibanda is a song writer, actor, singer and dancer/choreographer from Uganda. Born in Uganda, he has been involved in the performing arts since childhood, taking part in theatrical and dance productions in school. Acting: In 2006 Samuel took part in the movie project "The Last King of Scotland" which starred Forest Whitaker and James McAvoy. Since 2005 he has been involved in an ongoing radio series. Since early 2006, he has done two TV commercials and recorded and his latest involvement was in the Maisha Directors' Film Lab, where he took on leading roles in two different scripts. In 2008 Samuel did two major acting roles in two documentaries (drama): "Locked Up Abroad Uganda" a National Geographic Channel documentary about the Bwindi impenetrable in Uganda where American tourists were killed in 1999, and the documentary, "The John Akii-Bua Story: An African Tragedy", a BBC project where he acts as John Akii Bua. Dancing: He started up a dance company in 2002 and ran it for two years. The company still exists, although he moved on. In 2004 and 2005 he performed at the PAM Awards (Pearl of Africa Music Awards). During the same period he was the centre man in supporting roles in 3 successful theatre plays with the Obsessions, a Ugandan dance and theatre company. Samuel performed with Keiga Dance Company (keigadancecompany.com/) at the annual Dance Week in Kampala in 2008 and 2009. Touring with Keiga Dance Company brought Samuel to Germany in summer 2009 where they performed and held workshops. In November 2009 Samuel performed in Stuart Lynch's Look Homeward Angel in Copenhagen, Denmark. In connection to the festival My World Images, Samuel toured Denmark in the piece "Boda Boda" directed by Stuart Lynch. Singing: In 2006 Samuel released a duet (song and video) with Suzan Kerunen, a female performer from Uganda. In March 2007 he released a track entitled 'Danger' to Ugandan radio stations. "The track talks about the way I feel about the world". Samuel is always reflecting the way he feels when he writes music. 2009 is the year for Samuel's debut album "How I Feel", containing 8 songs.
