nouranour lebt den Traum von einer Welt, in der alle Menschen unabhängig von Herkunft und Geschlecht einen aktiven und gleichwertigen Beitrag zu unserer Gesellschaft leisten können. „nour“ bedeutet auf Arabisch „Licht“. Wir wollen ein Leuchtturm der Zukunft in der Gegenwart sein, indem wir: 1. in unserer Nähwerkstatt nachhaltige Mode für Frauen verschiedenster Kulturen entwerfen und herstellen; 2. mit unserer Lernwerkstatt einen Bildungsort für Frauen verschiedenster Kulturen schaffen.

Clothes make the man. Diversity shapes society. We make clothes and live diversity – and would be happy, if you would support us!

We are women with multicultural backgrounds. We take care of our future by ourselves – by sewing! We already have our own sewing and learning workshop and we want to grow into a multicultural fashion label. From the production to our internal culture, w set an example how a plural, equal and sustainable society could be implemented today!

nouranour hast he dream of a world in which everyone, independent from origin and sex, can contribute to our society equally. “nour” means “light” in Arab. We want to be a light from this future in the present by 1. Designing and producing sustainable fashion for women from different cultures and 2. Be a place of education for women from different cultures.

Unsere Initiative richtet sich insbesondere an Frauen mit Flucht- und Migrationshintergrund. Ihnen wollen wir durch unsere Näh- und Lernwerkstatt soziale und wirtschaftliche Teilhabe ermöglichen, die auf konventionellen Berufswegen nur selten erreicht wird. Dabei ist es uns wichtig, diese Teilhabe nicht auf Ausbeutung natürlicher Ressourcen oder anderer Menschen zu gründen. Die Mode, die in unserer Näh- und Lernwerkstatt entsteht, ist nachhaltig – und wird durch interkulturelles Design zugleich Botschafter für unser Anliegen!

The initiative focusses mainly on women with a history of flight and migration. With our sewing and education workshop we want to pave their way to social and economic participation. Doing this it is highly important for us, that this participation is not rooted in exploitation of natural resources or other human beings. The developed fashion is sustainable and functions as an ambassador of our mission through its intercultural design.

Unsere Initiative existiert bereits seit einem Jahr – mit stetig wachsenden Aktivitäten und Mitgliedern. Nun ist es soweit: Wir sind bereit, unsere eigenen vier Wände zu beziehen, um von dort Schritt für Schritt ein interkulturelles Modelabel aufzubauen. Eure Unterstützung ermöglicht ganz konkret rund 15 Frauen eigene Räumlichkeiten für Austausch und Weiterbildung. Dadurch entstehen nicht nur berufliche Perspektiven, sondern auch neue Kollektionen für den fair-fashion-Markt.

We started our initiative one year ago – and since then it is constantly growing. Now we are ready for the next step: moving into our own space to continue this development.
YOUR support ensures premises for 15 women to learn, interact and grow. Thereby not only professional perspectives but also new collections for the fair-fashion-market arise.

Bei erfolgreicher Finanzierung sind die Mietkosten für ein Jahr gesichert. Unser 2. Fundingziel dient der Deckung von Materialkosten. Es lassen sich der Ladenumbau (Tresen, Garderobe, Beleuchtung etc.) sowie der Ausbau der Näh- und Lernwerkstatt (Nähmaschinen, Kettelmaschine, Bügelmaschine) voranbringen. Durch die zentrale Lage würden wir außerdem nach außen hin stärker sichtbar – und Ihr könntet uns besuchen!

A successful funding guarantees the renting costs for one year. Our second funding goal will cover a part of the costs for material (sewing machines, linking machine) and renovation (counter, lighting, …). Since our new rooms would be in the city center of Witten, our initiative would become visible and visitable.
