Angela Deane

Florida-born artist Angela Deane is most well known for her series of “ghost portraits,” which she creates by hand painting over old photographs. After studying photography at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Deane relocated to London and then New York, where she expanded her art practice to include a fashion line. After ten years in New York, Deane returned to Gainesville, where she creates paintings, photographs and works on paper.
