ENDSPURT! // THE FINAL BEND!
English below!
Liebe Alle!
Olivia

Dear supporters!
At this point, a very big thank you from us, the DERP GIRL team!
There is news below from the post-production kitchen, which is happily boiling away.
I finished the rough cut of the film last week, a director’s cut, so to speak! I'll hand it over to our editor, Gary Feuerhake, in 2 weeks. I love the editing process and am already excited.
From then on, the material first goes to Ben Packer, to dial in the colours and set the mood, and from there to Bernhard Näther, who literally conjures up the magic in the film for us with his VFX skills.
Meanwhile, Valtteri Pöyhönen is busy tinkering and composing.
At the very end, the material will go to Story House in Berlin, where they'll spice it up with some more VFX effects and titles.
And last but not least, the finished film will be barrier-free with German audio description and German and English subtitles.
You see, there is still much to be done. Making a movie is a bit like baking a cake. Just because we have flour, eggs, sugar and milk, we don't have cake yet. We need to add baking powder, otherwise the cake won't rise. And vanilla extract. And a little chocolate never hurts. And finally the whole thing has to be stirred properly and put in the oven.
That's it for today, everyone- talk very soon!
Olivia
