Ihre Show ist authentisch, pulsierend, hypnotisch, provokant und mitreißend – definitiv nichts, das man so schnell wieder vergisst: Denn Niasony singt über ihre zerrissene Seele und die Missstände im Kongo – die Alltäglichkeit von Mord, Vergewaltigung, Unterdrückung, Korruption und Fremdbestimmung. (en) Niasony was born in the Congo and came to Germany at the age of 13. Their show is authentic, pulsating, hypnotic, provoking and exciting – definitely something that you won’t forget. Because Niasony sings about her torn soul and the bad state of affairs in the Congo – the everyday occurrence of murder, rape, oppression, corruption and heteronomy. And she is committed to her compatriots – especially those deported back to the Congo – as was her own brother.

Mostly her lyrics are written in Lingala – her mother tongue – mixed with German, English and French. Niasony & Maoba fascinate their audience with an exciting balancing act of dance music and serious political concern.
