Dig LoopHole out of this Corona Hole!

Loophole ist ein Berliner Underground Musik- und Kunstraum, der eine Bühne für unabhängige Künstler*innen, Musiker*innen, DJs und Filmemacher*innen und einen einzigartigen Treffpunkt für die kreativen Seelen der Stadt bietet.

Wenn wir zwei Monate lang nicht öffnen können, muss Loophole endgültig schließen. Wir möchten unsere Mitarbeiter, alle unsere lokalen und internationalen Künstler*innen und Gäste und natürlich den Ort, den wir alle gemeinsam geschaffen haben, schützen.

Loophole is a Berlin underground music and art space that offers a stage for independent artists, musicians, DJs and filmmakers and a unique gathering place for the creative souls of the city.

If we cannot open for two months Loophole has to close for good. We want to protect our employees and all our local and international artists and guests and, of course, the place we have all created together.

Unser Ziel ist es, eines der letzten originellen und authentischen Zentren der Berliner Kultur am Leben zu erhalten. Jeden Abend bietet die Bühne vom Loophole Platz für Konzerte, Performances, Screenings und DJs. Für die nächsten Monate hatten wir bereits Konzerte und Veranstaltungen gebucht, die alle abgesagt und verschoben werden mussten.
Das bedeutet, dass ungefähr 150 Künstler*innen pro Monat keinen Ort haben, an dem sie ihre Arbeiten präsentieren können.
Wir wissen, dass wir nicht die Einzigen sind die leiden. Wir zählen trotzdem auf die Gemeinschaft, die schon damals geholfen hat diesen Ort zu erschaffen, ihn jetzt am Leben zu erhalten.

Our goal is to keep one of the last original and authentic hubs of Berlin culture alive. Every night on Loophole’s stage, we host concerts, performances, screenings and DJ's. For the next few months we already had concerts and events booked, which all had to be cancelled and postponed. And as of now, nobody knows how long that will continue
This means that roughly 150 artists each month will be without a place to showcase their work.
We know we are not the only ones suffering but we are counting on the community that has helped create this place to help keep it alive.

Für jede und jeden, die/der weiß wie es ist, durch die endlosen Berliner Nächte zu wandern, haben und hoffentlich werden wir immer einen sicheren Ort bieten, um:
faszinierende Menschen zu treffen, etablierte und aufstrebende Künstler*innen zu entdecken und die Welt draußen zu vergessen. Und das alles ohne Schlange stehen.

Additionally, everyone who knows how it is to wander through the endless Berlin nights, we have and hopefully will always offer a safe place to gather without a queue, meet incredible people and discover established and up and coming artists and forget the world outside.

Mit dem Geld wird es uns möglich sein, die Miete zu bezahlen, unsere Angestellten (die auch selber Künstler sind), und andere Fixkosten die notwendig sind uns über Wasser zu halten. Dafür benötigen wir ca. 5.000€/Monat. Außerdem können wir Events umplanen und den Artists wird es möglich sein, ihre Kunst nach der Corona Krise zu präsentieren.

With the money we raise we will be able to pay the rent, our employees (who themselves are artists) and other fixed costs necessary to stay afloat. This requires about 5,000 Euros a month. Furthermore we will be able to reschedule events and the artists will be able to present their art.
